Individual Counselling & Psychotherapy
I currently only offer individual counselling sessions remotely, either via phone or video (using doxy.me)
I customize my therapeutic approach to your current needs, wants, and hopes.
This may look like: short-term counselling in which we explore a pressing issue or a specific concern; regularly scheduled self-care; or long-term counselling/psychotherapy, in which we delve into deeper healing work or trauma work.
Although not an exhaustive list, some of the things you might experience through counselling/psychotherapy are: processing and experiencing difficult and/or stuck emotions; developing skills and strategies to enrich your quality of life and your relationships; saying out loud things you have never said before; re-framing the story line or narrative of your life; facing your sources of shame; resolving pressing issues in your immediate day-to-day (for instance, a falling out with a friend or a work dispute); deepening or clarifying your sense of meaning and purpose in life; making connections and finding balance between the different aspects of your life (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, ecological); integrating or coming to terms with a traumatic experience; sitting with grief and/or despair; empowering yourself or developing a sense of resistance to oppressive forces in your life; re-defining your relationship to any mental health diagnoses and creating personalized strategies for how to effectively respond to a mental health diagnosis; cultivating a deeper sense of self-compassion and kindness; feeling more in tune with who you are; improving the quality of connections with yourself, others, and nature.
